Marina City meets the conditions laid down in the Government Decree 444/2021 (23 July) on the tax refund subsidy for the purchase of residential property in the Rust Belt Action Zone. This means that the new district is being built by revitalising a former industrial site that is classified as a rust belt, a status that allows the 5% VAT rebate to be claimed.

Under the Decree, the owner of new housing built on this site can claim the 5% VAT back from the budget as non-refundable state aid through the Hungarian State Treasury.
