Cordia is launching the development of The View residential park in Fonyód, directly on the shores of Lake Balaton, offering exclusive, low-density homes suitable for everyday living, as a second home, or as a long-term investment. The project, starting in November, will comprise 1–4 room apartments with terraces or balconies, a significant share of which will feature views of the lake and the Badacsony hills.
Penthouse apartments on the upper floors offer comfort with pre-installed jacuzzis, a landscaped inner garden, communal spaces, and parking facilities suitable for charging electric vehicles, while the proximity of the marina and the preservation of the public beach further enhance the project’s long-term value. As Fonyód is among the settlements eligible for Hungary’s rural CSOK housing subsidy scheme, buyers may also benefit from state support.
“In recent years, more and more people have been using their Lake Balaton properties not only as holiday homes but also as second residences, a trend further supported by the spread of remote working,” highlighted Ágnes Korsós, project director of the development. She added that The View responds to these changing lifestyle needs and that, as Cordia’s first domestic project outside Budapest, it marks a new strategic direction for the company.
