Corvin Promenade to become the best urban development project in Europe

Corvin Promenade was selected the best mixed-used development project in Europe at the European professional competition International Property Awards organised jointly with Bloomberg Television.

This year the 100% Hungarian owned Futureal Group has won the first prize with its urban development project Corvin Promenade at the festive award presentation ceremony held in London on 25 September among competitors coming this year from two continents: Europe and Africa.

CEO of the Futureal Group, Mr. Gábor Futó says: “We earned this renowned professional award as a result of the hard work of many years done by the urban development teams of Futureal and the Municipality of Józsefváros. Six years ago we decided and believed that we could create one of the best places in Budapest from one of its most disadvantaged districts which would become a good place for living, working, shopping, sports, walking and having fun. At that time, only a few believed in it. Since then more than 1000 families that lived under very difficult conditions could move to a better home, and we have created the biggest office park and the most successful residential project of the inner city, and also the commercial, service and sports centre will open at the end of the month. A dream has come true. The best mixed-function project of Europe award will give us further inspiration to continue the work started.”

For more than 15 years, the International Property Awards has counted as one of the most prestigious awards in the international property management community for which the world’s best property projects vie from year to year.
